Each flying lead project has a unique set of requirements and meeting those needs is our specialty. Our Instrument Fitters have a thorough knowledge of the various associated control lines and understand the importance of achieving and keeping accurate tolerance in the bend radius of each line to ensure proper installation. Working efficiently utilizing our CNC tubing bending machines, Hydraulic benders, or manual benders, when necessary, we are able to adjust and adapt to common issues concerning design proper fit and clearance during installation. Generally, engineering design of these tubing lines allow for clearance of the cover but sometimes will still require adjusting by adding kicks to finely tune for a proper fit. During installation, our instrument fitters work hand in hand with our welders to leave room for the orbital welder head and or for manual welding buttwelding to the fixtures as needed. Our very knowledgeable team is experienced working with super duplex and the commonly used tubing sizes and wall thicknesses associated with flying lead construction and can install according to your specific engineered designs.
This is just one example of the intricate and complex controls our professional team members deal with each day. Each technician is proficient using the tools needed for this skillset and has extensive subsea controls experience including thousands of hours working on Flying Leads, HPU’s, 60 line and 120 line POD’s , LMRP’s and other subsea controls equipment.
